What is the specifics of the camp?

Powerhouse is an adventure camp. The activities of the camp are focused on fellowship, discovery of one's talents and motivation to create, do, enjoy one's own and others' achievements.

What age are the camps for?

This year, Karukuksha has two camps of different ages. Camp for 8 - 12 year olds and camp for 12 - 16 year olds. In some cases, it is possible to join the camp without age group, but this must be done individually. Children live in camps with campers of their own age, unless they choose to live differently. (For example, if the best friends come to the camp, but one is 10 and the other is 12, then of course it is possible to live in one room.)

Are you sure you want to get involved?

It is not obligatory, but for the most part the activities are so interesting and exciting that everyone is happy to participate.

Where do children live in the Powerbird camps?

Children live in well-equipped camping-type cottages or hotel rooms with facilities, shower, everything you need.

What about child safety during camp?

We pay special attention to the safety of children. We have been organizing camps for 12 years, so we have a team of leaders where adults are instructed in safety during the camp. We go swimming in small groups, only accompanied by adults.

 What is the daily schedule?

The morning starts with morning exercise, which is always a fun and creative activity, then we go to breakfast, after breakfast we start the planned camp activities. After lunch there is an hour of free time and in the evening we go to bed at 22:00 In the small camps, dwarves read fairy tales every night, but in the big camps, we honestly say that we do not go to bed almost 22:00 :)

What are the benefits for the camper?

During the camp, the children get closer to nature, their talents and abilities are highlighted. A favorable, motivating environment creates self-confidence for the child to be a successful optimist in the future. During the camp, the children make friends for life, with whom they also meet outside the camp or in correspondence lists. Our goal is children's fond memories of the time spent in the camp.

A child for the first time to camp. How to prepare a child?

When a child goes to camp for the first time, it is very important that the child wants to camp, not just on the initiative of the parents. It is important to show pictures, tell how the camp works, what is the plan of the day, how to communicate with parents. This is definitely a time to try to spend the night with your grandparents or stay with your friends one night to see if your child is ready to camp. If you are camping for the first time, you have to take into account that the evening of the third day of the camp can be crying, because it is difficult for even an adult to be away from the usual environment, for a little one it can be a big test. But that's why we are next door and, of course, there is an opportunity to call parents to understand their experience, gain support, encouragement and continue the camp with joy.

How do children get to the camp site?

Parents usually take the campers to the camp site, but if this is not possible, feel free to contact the camp organizers and we will talk about how we can help.

What about contacting a child - when can I call and talk?
Accordingly, may the child be provided with telephone communication? How does this usually happen?

Yes, the camper can safely take the phone with them, the phone is with the drivers during activities, but in the evenings it is nice to be able to call the hosts. If the camper does not have his own telephone, it is possible to call the camp leaders by telephone.

How is the camp paid?

When applying for a camp, you will be sent a camp contract when you have read it, then you will sign it and you must make the first deposit of the camp, which is 100 Eur. This is proof that you are being admitted to the camp. The remaining amount stipulated in the contract must be paid 10 days before the start of the camp.

What happens if the camp has already been paid for, but for objective reasons it is not possible to participate in the camp?

In this case, the camp will refund the money paid.
